Ok, I have an 2010 SS coupe, 14,000 original miles. I don't really use my sunroof much, but just today, it started acting strange.

If I push the button to open it, it runes smoothly all the way open. But when I try to close the sunroof, it goes, whirrrr, CLUNK, whirrrr, CLUNK, whirrrrrr, CLUNK....about 6 times while it is closing.

Each time is goes "clunk", the sunroof seems to pause for a split second, then it continues closing until the next "clunk".

Really freaking annoying.....anyone else have this issue with a clunking sunroof only while closing?

Maybe something in the track?

What was your date of purchase? This would be covered under the 3 years/36,000 bumper-to-bumper, I would let the dealer handle it honestly.

 

yep that's not normal. take it to the dealership for repair. sounds like there are some teeth missing on the part that meets the track? when it meets it skips before catching again.

I have the same problem. I have had the dealer look and they looked at it and did nothing. They said they cleaned the track. Still does the same thing

 

Why didn't you go back and tell them to do it again? It's obvious it wasn't right and cleaning it didn't help.
