I have consistently noticed a small tick sound. It only happens when I start moving from a stop. I think I have also heard it when rolling through a stop sign and into an acceleration.

It seems to coincide when my suspension compresses because of the car movement.(like when the nose drops from a sudden reverse).

So this leads me to think it is a suspension problem, but I was wondering if you guys could try to narrow it down before I go into the dealership.

Once again, it is a single tick(sounds like a tap between 2 pieces of metal), and primarily happens when my car accelerates from a stop(not launching or anything).

mine was doing that as soon as it got off the truck...

 

i took my to dealer and the dealer doesn't know what it is he said it's probably the "nature of the beast" i think he is full of crap!!!! he said it still has plenty of warranty left so don't worry about it right now. but somebody on here before said his did it and it was a dry axle or something like that. probably will find new dealer and see what he says. hope this helps out.

Like I said, it seems to happen when any weight is shifted from front to back or back to front..

 

hmmmm i have a strange tick as well but i think mine is engine related because when i turn on the car first thing in the morning its like vrooom tick tick tick tick tick tick etc. for about 2 mins then i drive for like 30 mins and when i stop at a stopsign or redlight i can here it go back to idle and tick tick tick tick and its all normal driving i took it in to the dealership and he said that was normal for the car to do that but i can hear the ticks with my stereo bumping and windows up and my friends said you can hear it from at least 20 feet away and i think thats not normal but i keep taking it in and they say it is

 

Yup me 2. Consistanly getting worse. Didn't start till about 15k with just a click backing out the drive and now it's like you say everytime weight shift. I've read others having it with dropping with springs but mine is still stock suspension ss/sc.

 

Yeah I have stock suspension too, but I hadn't heard anyone else with the problem until you guys.. Now if only we could get someone to post that has an idea of what it is..
