Sunroof Button Fell Off
Well we had our first nice day in weeks so I opened the sunroof today. When I parked at work and closed it the damned sunroof button trim piece fell off. I can't get the thing to stay back on there for anything...
Any suggestions?

bring it to the dealer, its one of the infamous problems of almost every cobalt.
mine didnt do it for a while and i was like aha i dont have a shitty trim peice. but it fell off two weeks later. takes the dealer 20 mins to place securely. havent had a problem since

I'm old school
If you are kindda handy, I can tell you how to fix it yourself at home with little effort, and no friggin' glue.
The tabs on the trim piece are just slightly too wide to fit correctly in the metal clip attached to the headliner. Using a nice new utility knife blade, slide about a millimeter off each side of each tab.
Then, remove the interior gasket around your sunroof opening. Just in the front, you don't have to completely remove it. Don't worry about this step. It pulls off very easily and pushes right back on just as easy. This will give you access to the back side of the clip.
If you pushed your switch out of the clip trying to push the trim ring back on, replace it now. You may have to bend the tabs on the metal clip back out just a bit to get a good grab on the switch housing.
Now, with access to both sides, you should be able to replace the trim ring relatively easily. You have to engage the tabs to the clip on the driver side first, then the passenger side due to the way the clip is made.
