can anyone help me an easy procedure for removing and replacing my air filter in my '07 ss 2.0 supercharged., the owners manual suggests this is to be handled only by the dealer?

 

Remove the wheel and wheel well.

 

Yep, pull the wheel, inner fender, and under there it is 3 bolts and the cartridge come out. I would replace with a long life filter at this point such as a K&N due to how big of a pain it is

 

Look up the airbox mod how to, it will show you how to get to the airbox... pretty simple really.


Pull drivers side tire
undo clips/screws holding on drivers side splash guard
undo 4 screws holding bottom of airbox on
replace filter

 

thanks, that's what i wondering, it looked like the intake goes into the lower fender, i'll get to it

I can do it in about 5 min now, after all the times I have had to do it.
