Question Supercharged Probs!!! Help!

So a few weeks ago we put on A ZZP 2.7 pulley 60# injs. And a CAI. Tried to tune it and ran into problems. So i ordered 42# injs. the car felt okay minus knocking when i went WOT, but I could deffinatly feel power increase, and saw at least 15 lbs boost.

My problem is this: Two nighs ago I was driving and got on it a little, well the car didn't feel like it was pulling at all. Did id again and noticed a very loud fluttering sound and I was only making 8 lbs of boots.

What is everyones thoughts on this? Did i screw up my S/C?

Help guys!!!

mine has been at the stealership for over a month for a blown tranny, supercharger problems, and a front end vibration.

I just don't like them. I know I know... "They work great with the right tune" But i don't like them. The car runs lean almost always if your not racing and it surges at idle. My car is not gonna be a 350HP beast. I only want to go faster than the next guy.

Jon started a thread a while ago for the same thing. Someone suggested that you have the actuator on the bypass valve looked at. The diaphram may be torn a causing it to flutter.

You could also replace it with a manual boost controller. Ravenz is trying to sell and electronic one on CIAZ.

Does any one else know if a Electronic Boost controller will take the place of the bypass valve on the SC. Will buying one of these fix the prob?

I'm no expert, but I thought the purpose of the EBC was to limit peak boost, while the bypass is what prevents you from boosting under partial throttle or at idle. Someone with more knowledge chip in!

This is what I've always heard as well.

There are some stock SS/SC pullies on e-bay... buy one of those...

some guy is selling stock pully, belt, and injectors... $50... there ya' go...

Do the boost bypass mod and see if it makes a difference. If it does, then something is going on with your bypass valve.

dosen't the pully cover up the part of the snout you had to machine?

would a dealer tech really know a machined snout if he was looking at one?

I think anyone would know what a machined snout looks like. And no the pulley does not cover it up.

Well you were talking about getting an extra s/c. Did you get the PM I sent you on CIAZ about the ones I found for sale? If you had one of those you could swap out the BPV on the blowers and put the new, untouched, blower on the car and see what they do. The BPV should not be acting like that regardless if it is stock or modified. I don't think your mods caused it to happen, but we all know the dealer will say otherwise.

That or talk to Steve and have him order an actuator. the P.N for the actuator should be 12591349 and for the valve it should be 1997244.

Ouch man... nothing but problems for you... sorry forgot to send the inj tables... if you want pm me and I'll give you my phone number so you can remind me tonight... but yeah... either you f'd up your s/c gasket (I've seen a few blown out) or your boost bypass thing is screwed up... try doin the boost bypass mod to see if will still build boost.. if not check your injectors to make sure the o-rings are seated properly, could be blowing out there... if niether works... gotta be the gasket

So here is what I figured out. The problem was the tune (Pleas keep all the "I told you so's" to yourself). I guess the car was knoking so bad that it was pulling boost topp keep from knoking. Got a new tune and the 42's in there and it goes roughly, THE SPEED OF LIGHT, not really. Any ways, I hope this thread can help other people who run into this prob.
