supercharger burning up?

Well my girlfriend is not having any luck with the cobalts at all. Her new problem is that the supercharger smells really bad and is really really hot plus bogs down the engine. I can almost promise its the bearing in the charger seizing up already with only 1000 miles on the @#$% car. Anyone else hear of this too? I really feel bad for her cause this is just rediculous.
