Supercharger Problems?
Ok, I need some help here...
I recently installed a new modular pulley system. I used Nate's pulley puller to remove and install. When I installed the new 5-bolt hub I think that I put in on a little too far and the S/C became hard to turn by hand. I backed off the hub a little and installed the S/C back on the car with a 2.8" pulley, which is the same size I had on the S2 hub.
When I started the car it ran fine for a few seconds and then it started to sputter @ idle. I revved it up a little but it did the same thing when it returned to idle.
I turned off the car imediately. When I put my hand on the pulley, it was very warm to the touch! The S/C snout was cold but the hub, pulley and shaft were very warm to the touch, almost HOT!
Anyone think that I may have screwed the bearing? Is it possible to buy just the bearing?
PLEASE HELP!

Yea, I will have a good look at everything tomorrow. If it is the S/C I think that I'll just go get myself a Stage V Hahn Turbo system...I'm not getting the gains I had hoped from the Stock S/C.
Well I think that I found the problem...and it's just coincidental that it happened at the same time I changed the pulley. I decided to check out the compression on my cylinders and recieved 195-205psi each. Then as I inspected the plus I found that one of them was loose and felt like it was about to split in half.
My first batch of these "pulse" plugs actually split in half when I installed them and I thought that I was doing something wrong. In fact when I contacted clubplug.net who replaced my last set for free, they informed me that due to the number of returns on the pulse plugs, they were no longer going to carry them.
So...back to the NGK Iridium which IMO have equal or better performance than the pulse plugs and, as it turns out, FAR BETTER QUALITY!!
