svc tire monitor without sensors

i recently installed some new wheels and tires and purposely left out the tpms sensors because theyre usually nothing but problems for me anyway.

i wasnt getting a svc tire monitor light up untill today and was wondering if im supposed to getting it because i have no sensors or if its because something else is going on. is there a way to just bypass or reset the light completely to never show up ever again?

Park near your other wheels is one way to prevent it from coming on.

The system is in the BCM so it can't be "tuned" out. There may be someone in the country that can but get ready to pay out the ass for it, swapping tpms sensors takes like 2mins with the cobalt.

Yes... , but your eliminating a government mandated item. Look up the Transportation Recall Enhancement, Accountability, and Documentation (TREAD) Act.

ok so i eliminated a CAT and thats a government mandated item? ohhhh so is my whole entire exhaust, guess i need to go hug some trees now too since my emissions arent within government standards. i havent ran tpms for years, i check my tires every other week and if you cant feel a tire going low or see that one may be lower then thats on you. i keep an eye on my car though and take care of it. a tpms to me is just as bad as a backup camera, its making driving "dummy proof" when they should be paying to attention to their whole vehicle.

Government mandates are for the manufacturer to follow, not the consumers. You can rip all the airbags out if you wanted.

Blind spot monitors and active braking... no need to be aware of your surroundings anymore either

Don't forget autopilot, just don't change lanes near a break in the highway barrier....

^Good idea but probably wont work. The IPC is a module and will receive the same message from the ABS controller to turn the TPMS light on if there is a fault. That is if 07-08 are even interchangeable.

Keep in mind that most tire places will not mount wheels to the car unless the factory TPMS sensors are installed and functional. Reason why i typically just bring over my track wheels and pick em up again

I put a 160mph SS dash from an 07 in my 08... It works... I still received the warning in the DIC display until I replaced the sensors.

I still like the VAG groups solution, use the speed senors in each hub, set them and when the exceed a given difference for a given rpm/gear then the warning low tire light pops on and tells you which tire. No more TPMS to rebuild or replace

Many manufacturers use the TIMS indirect system... Toyota, GM, Chrysler etc. They also supply the compressor with the tire sealer rather than a space saver since there is no issue plugging the sense hole. Many TPMS's today are also sensing temp. If all 4 tires are equally low with an early TIMS system such as a cold morning, there is no light.

It's way more expensive than your car is worth to even attempt it. TPMS sensors was significantly cheaper

74psi is the TPMS max setting. Warning went away but will come back once you start driving.
