Sway bar end links!
Sway bar end links!
im replacing my struts on my ss sc and whenever i try to get the nut off the sway bar end link where it connects to the strut it just spins and spins and doesnt loosen. help!
right behind the sway bar. push the rubber back a bit, needs to be a thin wrench (16mm if I remember right...probably not tho)
Mine were rusted in place, so I just snapped the endlinks right off and replaced them. The nut youre supposed to put the wrench on is a really weak metal (aluminum maybe?) and my wrench stripped the thing! Tried vice grips too and it just kept stripping it more and more.

Honestly I had the same problem, I have to torch mine off and then just replaced them with new ones. New ones are actually better because they come with a nut and a hex key socket so that you can hold it in place
This is what I did too. Probably your best bet, especially since the new Moog ones have the nut and hex.
Same here. I even tried vice grips, and they just shredded the bolt. A cutting torch made quick work of it.
