Theft mode, won't start
Hello, I have a 2006 cobalt Lt 2.2
heres the story.
So i just got done driving my car with no problems, parked it for about 20 minutes, came back out to try and drive again and all the dash lights and interior lights started flickering and the dash is giving me weird messages like no power steering, no fuel, etc. So the first thing i checked was the battery cables, but I found a pool of water in the trunk that filled the whole area of the spare tire whole. it looked like it had been sitting there for quite a while, because it was disgusting. but anyways, i drained all the water and let the trunk dry out. still the same problem, weird messages and the car w/lock light. wont crank, fuel pump doesn't turn on, stereo wont turn on, no interior lights, windows dont work, wont lock/unlock.. only things that work are the dash and headlights. No keyless function works either.
I have tried disconnecting the battery for a good 2 hours, didnt work
tried the whole ignition on for 10-15mins 3 times and try to start, didnt work
please help!!!

K i got this from zzperformances website, give it a try. When i had to do it it took 5 times of repeating the thing to get the car to turn on.
11. How do I perform a security relearn?
For the seed key relearn, this is the procedure:
You can open and close the door- It doesn't matter. You will need to get in and out since you need to push in the clutch.
1. Depress the clutch and try to start the car. If it does not turn over, let off, but leave the key in the run position. The security light should be lit up on the dash.
2. Wait 10 minutes(you can open the door and get out). The security light on the dash will turn off after 10 minutes.
3. Turn the key off for 5 seconds, then depress the clutch and try to start the car. If it does not turn over, let off, but leave the key in the run position. The security light should be lit up on the dash.
4. Wait 10 minutes(you can open the door and get out). The security light on the dash will turn off after 10 minutes.
5. Turn the key off for 5 seconds, then depress the clutch and try to start the car. If it does not turn over, let off, but leave the key in the run position. The security light should be lit up on the dash.
6. Wait 10 minutes(you can open the door and get out). The security light on the dash will turn off after 10 minutes.
7. Turn the key off for 5 seconds, then depress the clutch and try to start the car. The car should start on this attempt.

yes, it has a sun roof.. but it also had train horns, which made me drill some holes. as well as having after market tail lights that i knew leaked. I just had no idea that it would lead to my entire spare tire divet filling to the top
