These damn headlights!

I'm having severe problems getting out my headlights. I just got a pair of H.I.D's and it started to pour but I could NOT get out the damn headlights!!! I was pulling to all hell and finally got the left headlight to come out enough to unhook the wires. What am I doing wrong??

pop out the tabs holding the bumper to the frame right underneath the hood, there should be four, after that the bumper will have a little bit of room to move, the you should be able to coax them out

the service manual says not to mess with the four tab section, but to just pull the top two out. know its not a help, but i'll grab the manual tomorrow morning and post the recommended removal procedures.

Once you get those tabs out, the headlights pop right out, I've taken them out so many times..

yeahh I know. I was pulling and I got the one to come about halfway out. I could tell something was holding them in but I wasn't sure. I couldn't see the "plastic fasteners" though...

They are a minor pain in the ass to get out. Just have some patients and work with them gently and they will come out sooner or later.
