Who have went into limp mode...after being in limp mode, does your car smell like rotten eggs? My friends car went into limp mode..he turned the car on and off twice and it was out of limp mode...but smells like rotten eggs...Has anyone ever experienced that or knows what's going on? I'm thinking the pcm is just throwing lots of fuel into the engine because of it being in limp mode.

 

I think a couple of people had this problem before turned out to be the cat(converter) that went bad

 

haha your friend went limp... yo man I can't save the edits on the tune for ya... so I'l have to send you the tables...

and in limp mode... just disconnect the battery for 15 min and it should be fine..
and yes it will smell like rotten eggs

 

My car has actually been doing this very often lately, but not rotten egg smell. Its getting very annoying. It only happens when i let the car sit for only a minute to warm up in the cold weather. Now i let it warm up to about 80 or 90 before i start driving. Started happening after i went from the intake mod to the stock intake.

 

did you reset the comp (disconnect the battery)

 

yea...disconnected it, ate my dinner then hooked it back up

 

huh... check all connectinos for the hoses on the intake tube

 

We didn't dissconnect the battery yet...he hasn't driven it since it happened...well for maybe like 10 minutes. I'm going over there soon to fix the problem....I know what went wrong...i hope
