timing chain issue 07ss/sc130k miles

timing chain issue 07ss/sc130k miles
i recently (yesterday) had a clicking noise.
upon inspection I found that the front timing chain guide has 2 bolts and the upper of the 2 had backed itself out and was riding against the inspection plug and I'm guessing on a hard shift it snapped and cocked sideways and was stuck (thank god) and was rubbing the chain and plug and drove it this way for two days before I parked it for disassembly .
has anyone else experienced this issue?
