Tire pressure sensor low or high performance

I broke a tire pressure sensor and when I called the dealer they said they had a high performance for $80 and a low performance for $30. Does anyone know the difference? Does wheel speed matter? Thanks

Maybe it reports the pressure faster. Like if u out air in. Mine take forever to show up on the display the right psi. These may do that quicker I guess. Google it

High performance makes your tires spin faster while saving gas. They save you gas because they are so light that they reduce rolling resistance. This is just common knowledge and for only $80 you better scoop up as many as possibe cause that's a deal.

One is a direct OEM, the other is an aftermarket.

I have a complete set of OEM ones I'd sell or split up.

The cheap one looks like a regular rubber valve stem and the high performance is aluminum

I broke one of my sensors and don't plan on replacing it. I have a pressure gauge if I think my tires are low on air...I think the whole TPMS thing is a waste.

So do I. That's why I didn't bother with my new wheels, but some people don't like to have the light on.

I think there's a way to stop it though. I think my brother said there's a fuse for it or something you can pull. Either way the light and the chime is just whatever now.

I actually like the sensors... they've let me know twice when somethings punctured my tire on my way to or from work...

Although with the cold lowering the tires psi when it's sits and the pressure reaches I guess a pre set low limit it pops on and that's annoying...

There are two different types of valves stems. If your valve stems are rubber then the sensor is held in by a screw that you screw into the bottom of the valve stem accessed when the tire is off the wheel, and the rubber valve stem snaps in. If you have an aluminum valve stem, then the sensor and valve stem are one piece that is held in by a collar you screw onto the valve stem from the top once the stem is slid through the hole. But since the sensor comes with a new valve stem it's not really a big deal which one you buy.
