Torque Steer, how to get rid of it?

At a stop and when I floor it the wheel turns to the left. I have almost hit people. I think this is called Torque Steer? I have an automatic trans, and a chip that opens the throttle body immediately.

What causes this and how can I get rid of it?

Thanks,
Dimitri

Don't stomp on it at a start, or buy a real vehicle with rear wheel drive

Yes, that is torque steer. To get rid of it, don't take off so hard from lights.

Does the car have G85 in it? How are the tires wearing in the front? How is the air pressure of the tires? How well do you grip the wheel and where?

These are all things that you can look at to help against torque steer. But, if you are putting down major power, you will be fighting it hard.

The engine is stock except for the K & N air intake and a muffler and a Trifecta engine and trans tune, no turbo. 10,000 miles on car. Tires 32 psi cold.

There has to be a solution? What about different motor mounts?

Be the first to do a HIPER strut swap. Get yourself a Buick Regal and rip out its front end, then bolt it onto your balt

it's either a 2.2 or 2.4 so it's not torque steering anything noticeable unless your alignment is fucked up sorry

Hmm...... I dont have huge issues with torque steer except on very uneven surfaces . Most car company's try to make equal length axles to combat the problem but the cobalt already has those so check the alignment and see where its at.
