Traction Control and Hard Shifting
Traction Control and Hard Shifting
Ok so I have a 2006 LS 2.2L Automatic
I've been having harsh shifting while driving accompanied by the Traction Control warning light.
I've read a TON of complaints about this on various websites but haven't seen a cause or remedy.
It starts out driving fine, then randomly the TC light comes on and it starts hard shifting.
Everytime I stop and turn the engine off for at least 10-15 mins, it drives fine again for a short while.
Along with this, pretty sure it's unrelated but just in case I'm wrong...
I've also had a couple codes...P0171 which I know is running lean and I've had that over a year, and P0113 which I read is a Intake Temp High warning.
But I really need to solve this harsh shifting/Traction Control light issue!

Typically if your reading an IAT too high code, your IAT sensor has failed, and given the fact that these car's use IAT's that are built into the MAF itself, and your throwing a system to lean code, id wager that your MAF likely needs to be replaced. As far as the traction control and harsh shifting goes, it's possible the car is in a limp mode because of the codes which is causing that problem.
