I am trying to pry off the silver piece that holds the traction control button in place so I can paint it. How do I disconnect the wiring from it? I have a 2008 cobalt sport.

Next, i just used rain-x on my sport and can't seem to get rid of the streaks it leaves. Any suggestions?

 

For the Rain X issue: Buff it really good, then sprinkle some cold water onto the windshield, and buff again with a different cloth.
I've been using Rain Away for many years and swear by it (and similar products).

 

For the button, there is usually a slot that you have to pry away from a blade like protusion on the connector.
