Trany light on...Car in limp mode

Wife called my work this morning. Her 2008 cobalt LT transmission light came on and DIC said," Reduced Engine Power." Gonna take it to dealershop at lunch. Will keep you updated as to what is wrong. She said she didn't hear any sounds before it happened, so I am a little perplexed... Maybe a solenoid or sensor? Anyway, we have the $0 deductible warranty on it so off to the dealership. Oh, also the car only has 23k miles on it.

Ok, so car in shop and they told me that they would have to run diagnostics before they could say if I can have a replacement car 'til it is fixed. "FORD" doesn't wait for the diagnostics! Damn it!

Ok, so I took it to the dealership. Told them that the trans light is on and car don't have any power; plus the passenger rear window won't roll down; plus the P/S recall; and lastly , the fuel gauge reading empty after fill up. The service writer said he would have to run diagnostics on the car before he could autherize a replacement car... You know, when I had my ford tempo, the ford dealer automatically gave me a replacement car... Just one more instance of poor customer service. Anyway, so I am waiting to hear back from them.

Called GM customer service and got told the same thing. Even though the repairs are obviously going to take more than 24 hours.

So I got my car back on Sat. After lodging a complaint with GM Corp. and getting no where. The dealership finally fixed my transmission light( Replaced ECM ), Right Rear Window( Replaced Window Motor ), Fuel Gauge ( Replaced fuel sending unit ), and the rcall on the power steering. Still the customer service sucks, but glad to have the 'balt back for my wife.
