Very simple but I cannot figure it out.

Trunk light does not turn on.

Trunk opens with remote and with the trunk release switch.

When I push the button the DIC does not say TRUNK AJAR.

I swapped the latch for a new one thinking that was the problem but still light doesnt work.


Any ideas what this could be?

is there at the wire at the latch? the trunk release when you press the button, correct? see if there is a pinched wire in the sensor circuit

 

Yeah the button it works fine, it opens but the light does not turn on.

I checked the wires when I changed the latch and they seemed fine.

 

I assume u checked the bulb?
