Turbocharger not working
So I kissed the bottom of my car pulling into an angled driveway a bit, apparently enough to break a small clip off of whatever is the thing on the bottom of the intercooler. So now it is slightly hanging but not enough that it should make an immediate difference I THOUGHT!!
First it took me 10 mins to get it started.. kept turning off right after i turned it on. Then when i finally got it to go the engine light is on solid ( book says emissions problem ) AND my damn turbo won't work what so ever. It's almost as if there is no pressure, but i can see no hole in the intercooler.
Am i on the right track... and how the hell much is this gonna cost me.. or will the warranty cover it?

I dont think gm is going to warrenty that, technically thats considered a car accident. Thats not going to be covered under warranrty.... You might only need the lil catch tank for water at the bottom unless you cracked the end tank where it connects up to. Either way gm prob has it were you have to buy a full intercooler to get the piece. Your best bet if thats the case is to put hard pipes and a front mount on the car then, casue it will be cheaper than buying or the same if you have to buy the stock one from gm.
The car isn't running right for you broke the seal of the system and your not able to build boost because you have a leak now, your turbo is fine, just don't drive the car till that gets fixed

Carefull..larger ICs could scrape the ground...especially if you're lowered. I have stock set up and mildly lowered with Pedders..no problems but it does scrape the bottom Bumper lip if I'm not watching it. Inclines are the worst.

wont work for very long due to the wide variation in temperature in very short periods. epoxy expands at a slower rate then the "bakelite" type plastic the end tank is made from.
