USMCFieldMP vs F35 Tranny

USMCFieldMP vs F35 Tranny
I won! Tranny lost!
I gave it a little bit of gas in first gear and got her moving and when I let go of the gas, it sounded like metal crashing/slapping against metal . I thought it was an axle that had broken and was slapping around. I was wrong... as my tranny fluid started to slowly drip out. All the gears FEEL and SOUND like they are still engaging. None of them went limp on the shifter. So I'm not sure.
I haven't had a chance to look at it real good. Tow truck took 3 hours to get there. And to top it off, I was an Hour from home.
I'm contemplating on whether or not to even take it to the dealership and TRY to get it warrantied.
Any Suggestions or thoughts on what it could be?

I've got a 2nd tranny (my original)... but it needs the 2nd gear Synchro Blocker Ring. If this one is fucked, then I suppose I can Frankenstein one. I wonder if I could switch 1st gear out for a slightly longer gear......
Bump.
Bump again... i guess no one cares. Haha

That one little piece... is the cause of so much trouble. Hopefully... it'll still be intact in my current tranny... and I can somehow find a way to borrow the special tools needed to tear our tranny down... and I can fix my old; ORIGINAL trans.

Hey you're caught up to me now on tranny's! I think if this one in my car breaks, I will have my original sent to Quaife for the stronger 6 speed conversion. Breaking gears sucks, and Quaife rules when it comes to quality! The wallet will hate me though for a long time, and so wont the girlfriend.

Broke third gear both times. Second tranny grenaded at the track. I went to shift into third and all was well with the transition, but the gear was gone without a noise, grind, or anything! The gear exploded and shot the frag through the case! My guess is:
1. I turned torque management off with HPTuners.
2. The Ingalls TD while helpful isn't helping enough with hop
3. The gearset on these tranny's is pretty weak when it comes to an introduction of shock

yeah 2nd transmission problem and my clutch wore un-evenly the second time it went in
yeah these trannys can't take any abuse u need to install a trans brake or something to make them hold up, see the gm build book i was thinkin about doing it
i'm thinking that one if not two of those tabs on the blocker ring are broken

The tabs aren't broken... all three of them are worn down... and the wings got too wide to drop down into the appropriate slots that engage the actual synchro.
You can see the slot it is supposed to drop down into on the top of the gear next to it. The very upper left hand corner of the picture.
That ring just floats around on top of that until you go to engage the gear, then it drops down into those slots and engages the synchro.

I have two trannys, sitting in my garage. One is disassembled w/ brand new bellhousing, and the other is complete (still bolted to blown motor).
Both are Non-LSD
Disassembled $400
Assembled $750

cracked the case on my first one and had it warrantied after a lot of complaining.... then went to the track and snapped both axles, then got new axles in and then I did a magic trick and made 3rd gear disappear....
I now have boost limits in 1st gear to control myself off the line and made it progress.... solid traction thru 1st gear with a launch

Thankfully, that's probably gonna be my saving grace to get out of this spending absolutley NO MONEY!
Unless my friend that is an Assistant Service Manager comes through... I'm probably gonna drop my current trans, take out the 2nd gear Synchro Blocker Ring... take my ORIGINAL Trans to the dealership to have them replace the gear that they chipped (They said they'd do it for free since it was their fault)... and while they're in there, I'm gonna see if he'll swap Blocker Rings for me.
Does anyone know of a PDF on taking our trans apart? Or can maybe make a How-To? Any documentation on tearing an F35 down would be awesome.

I have a PDF of the gm service manual the part on our tranny's. PM me your email address and i will send it to you.
I didnt read that the dealer chipped the teeth, just seen the picture. You would think that if they are taking the damn thing apart they would have the correct tools to do it, and know how to not chip the teeth.
