Vacuum line?
Vacuum line?
I'm assuming this is what it's called. It's the line that hooks up to the stock intake box, I noticed it broke off this morning and the line/cord itself was just dangling about the engine. Only reason I seen that it was broke is because I went to install my Hahn intake. Now with the Hahn intake installed the vacuum line or whatever it's called is still just dangling about the engine because the way it broke it wont hook onto the new piece on the Hahn intake. Has anyone elses broke, if so what should I do, do I need to get the new part from the dealer?
Sorry man I dont have pics. It's the line that hooks up to the stock intake box, and then with an aftermarket intake you hook it up to that aswell. It's a piece of plastic that is hooked on the end of a line so you can clip it onto the intake. Just the end of the piece broke off so now it wont stay fastened on the intake.
Is that what is it called? It's a plastic piece attached to a vac line. It broke off the stock intake box and was just hanging above the engine bay and now I cant attach it to my Hahn intake.
The piece broke off the stock intake box, you can see where it broke off, it's just plastic. But like I said, now I cant hook it up to my Hahn intake and it's just hanging over the engine bay.

I will most likely do that, but hard telling how long it's been like that. And do you know if they would have the piece in stock and if they will try and charge me?
The piece that broke off the stock intake box was still in the line, so I just pulled it out and it slid right on the Hahn intake. Everything is good to go now.

If it's the rebreather tube like elec said, I don't recall there being a plastic piece on there. On my K&N the hose just slid onto a metal tube and I put a hose clamp on it; there was no adapter.
But it sounds like you already did just that, so good luck.

It was the line that went to the stock airbox, it broke off, it is plastic and it just broke off into the line itself. I got it pulled out, the stock airbox piece broke off and got stuck in the line, so once I took it out it slid right onto the Hahn intake like it was supposed to.
Yeah I know. But I was in a hurry installing my Hahn intake, and it was only like 20* out and then I had a few other things to do that day before I went back to work the next day. Then instead of freezing my ass off trying to fix it, I figured I would take it to my Brother-in-laws house because he is a mechanic.
