Fixed same issues on my car 2 years ago. Mine were caked at 32,000.

Make sure to get a set of long wire brushes. I found getting the oil out of the runners first was a bit easier because the walnuts stick to it an make a bigger mess

It's meant for a BMW or mini but it works fine for cobalts. The actual part that goes in the valve runner is slightly too small but once you hook up the vacuum and blaster it stays on with suction.
Many different vacuum heads fit on it as well which is nice
