So here is the question at hand...
On my car I have A pace setter headder, Fujita CAI, and Hi-flow cat. I'm taking my car to the dealership tomorrow because my pistin rings are blown and my car throws out clouds of blue smoke. I know the rings are bad cuz the mechanic I took it to did a leak-down test and found #1 and #4 leak 90%.
Here is the questio...
Do you think the dealer will warraty the engine?
PLACE YOUR BETS!!!

I've seen it spelt hedder too, as in Hedman Hedders.
But anywho- I don't see how a custom exhaust could cause the rings to go bad. Are you sure its the rings and not a valve issue, i.e. burnt or bent allowing oil to come past the seals? If it's smoking real bad though it probably is the rings.

You can burn up your valves by having a header/headers without any exhaust piping after it, or even from running with a leak for a long time.
On the other hand, I'm not sure if that would do anything to your rings.
Are you 100% sure it isn't the valves?
Now you said you have a high flow cat, do you have a CEL? Are you tuned?
A high flow cat will have your 02 sensor sending wrong info to the PCM, changing fuel and timing which they could possibly blame for the problem. Well at least that's what GM teaches some of there techies.
I say, go as close to stock as you can.

The way the stealerships are about these cars i would take the extra time and go back to as close to stock as possible . If you don't have the stuff to do it look in the classified's and buy it, it's going to be alot cheaper than having the motor work done yourself.
Okay so I put everything back as stock as I could. Still has headder, CAI and High-flow cat. Should be good right???
Taking it to the dealership toomorrow morning.
Wow, has anyone looked at the poll results? I haven't ever seen one so close. LOL
