That happened to me once when the car had like 250mi on it. Lasted about 5mins while I was stuck in traffic then went away. Haven't had it happen again since then. I'm only at 2000mi now though.

It does it all the time? I'd guess either something with the exhaust (a clogging cat can cause bad vibration) or engine mounts.

Good luck on your stage 2! I'd definitley get them to check it out. If your car is doing it all the time, hopefully it'll show the service guys what's wrong with it.
The only other thing I've experienced that can do intermittent shaking like that is something like an a/c compressor, or anything else that could be turning itself off and on and vibrating the car.. The cat should be doing it always, and you should have noticeable problems in driving as well.. and your exhaust should smell ******* horrid. You'd notice ifyou had a clogged cat.

If I pop the hood and listen then yeah the supercharger does sound like a lot going on inside at idle, but to be on the safe side you'll be at the dealer anyways, just get them to look at it and tell us if they find anything...

FYI the "rocks in a tumbler" sound coming from the supercharger is normal. Good luck getting it worked out.

my car does the exact same thing and it drives me nuts. I think it might be a motor mount acuse on the dyno one time it looked like the motor was gonna jump out of the engine bay.

I also have had some very light vibrations at idle that are odd.

After it rained hard, I live in AZ so it is rare, my car has done two things:

It has a little roughness (vibration) in the steering wheel upon acceleration that is random.

It has a little bit of a vibration at idle that did not exist before.

I have 10K miles.

Maybe these Cobalts do not like humidity or something.

Ithink there is a reflash for your problem, the rpm should not be hunting like that.

But ive noticed when the A/C is on that there is aslight random vibration.I just think there is to much load on the 2 liter at idle for the A/C that makes it do that.

wierd because when i put my a/c on its actualy stop the shacking, the AC put a small load on the engine, just enought to make the shaking disapear.....

Wow, my new 07 does this exact same thing. I have only had the car for about 3 weeks now, has around 700 miles on her.

Mine started literally about 100 miles ago, lol! Happens ALL the time at stop lights, with or without the AC on, doesn't seem to make any difference at all!

Anyone find the fix for this yet, or is it just normal...?
