white smoke?

Probably a simple question, but when i went out to start the balt today a lot of white smoke came outta the exhaust for like 5-10 seconds then went to normal? I had it sittin for like 2 and its only like 15 outside here. Is this normal or is there something burning in the exhaust?

check the oil... no one wants coolant in the oil.... ie.... head gasket, crack in intake?..... might just be water in exhaust!

exactly. the pipes go from the temp. it is outside, in this case VERY cold, to VERY hot in a matter of seconds. start you car for 5-10 seconds, and your exhaust manifold will burn your hand, it gets that hot that quickly.

Word of caution/information:

I over filled a VW Jetta N/A with oil one time. Raced a guy in a Mazda truck and beat him.

I beat him because he thought I threw a sheet over his windshield. The excess oil got on top
of the pistons and it smoked like a freight train Local shop drained a little oil out and the
issue was taken care of.
