Wipers stopped Working

I have a 2010 Chevy Cobalt 2.2L.

Went and got in my car this morning and the wipers wouldn't work. I hear a humming when I turn on the wipers so I don't think it's a fuse. Maybe the motor? Motor replacement is fairly easy so don't want to bring it to the garage. Is there any way I can know for sure before spending $200 on a new motor?

I'd replace the fuse first just to be safe.

Turns out it was a broken bolt. Had to put it in the garage as I wasn't able to remove the wiper arms myself.

Use a pry bar and a little hammer with little taps to get it off. Don't try to pry like I did...

don't use a pry bar, if it doesn't come off just let it sit with wd40 or some brake fluid, and if it still doesn't come off go to the parts store and rent a gear puller.
