Post Wire Harness under my 06 SS Sedan Driver Seat

I had a 2005 cobalt LS Sedan, and i had so many problems with it. I had it 8 months, and in those 8 months i had it in the shop about 10 times for many different reasons. 1st, i had the recall done. Then after that i noticed that the paint was peeling on the front bumber, so the put touch up paint on it. Then i took it in because when i would shut the car off, my key kept getting stuck in the intgtion. That was the main reason. They tried everything in the book to fix it, so they ended up buying the car back from me. Then i Just got this 06 SS Sedan about 3 days ago now. and i just noticed that there is a wire harness that is connected to my driver seat that is just laying on the floor. I was wondering if anybody knew what the wire harness was? Thank you

If its possible post Pics ....it will make it easier to identify
hopefully it is the heated seat portion of the harness
That would make it exactly what I am looking for to install factory heated seats
(I havent seen any in my ss\sc yet but it may be tucked under the carpet)

It could be the heated seats, monitors the seat belt or could be pressure sensor for the airbags. It could be connected to a black box

Sounds normal to me. All of the Tahoe and Suburbans have this too. It's for the heat, seat belts, power movement, etc.....

Sounds to me like your looking for problems... JK

Peace

Seat heater wire. Unless you also have power seats, then it's that. Ask your dealer if the wire is routed correctly, there might be a less visible way to route it.

If it is a wire harness to the seat belt should it be connected to something? The part where it connects to another is just laying on the floor under my seat.

Very common actually
Some the car's wiring harnesses are common despite option variations
My guess is you DONT have the heated seat option (KA1) and the loose connector is for the heated seat module. Take a look at the SPID label that's afixed to the underside of the spare tire cover in your trunk- does it show KA1??
