Wonderful rattling sound
So Saturday night I was at my friends house and me and my friend decided to do a Carls Jr. run since a lot of the people had the munchies. We're rolling down a pretty steep hill I'm in 2nd slowing down to a stop sign and we notice this horrible rattling sound coming from the rear passenger area. By the way I drive an '08 ss/tc for those who don't know. We drive to the store, get some cups, then we get the food. Driving home the rattling noise is still there, it seems to stop when I come to a full stop. I had gotten my windows tinted that day so I thought maybe they didn't put the headrests back on tight enough. Checked those and they were fine. It wasn't the seatbelt hitting the side, there was nothing but soft things in my trunk, same with the back seat. I was like aaahhhh noo. I didn't want to take it to the dealership.
So next morning orrr afternoon I wake up at around 1, we go to lunch car is STILL rattling. I end up driving home to see if my dad can figure out what it is, we drive around the block he opens the door and says it's coming from the wheel. I'm like wwwttfff?? So he looks under and immediately finds the problem. The brake line on that side had come unattached and was knocking against the inside of my wheel well. My dad was able to put it back. So just to warn you guys if you hear a rattling coming from the rear of your car that might be it!! Anyone else have that problem?
Oh and on another note, here's another off-beat news story. So enjoy!

It wasn't fully unattached, it was held on by 2 lil gromet looking thingies, one came loose so it wasn't like dragging on the floor lol just enough for it to tap the side. My dad put it back, he's good with cars, if it does it again though I'll take it in.

Haz l33t wheelz.
i know what you're talking about. if it was the brake line it didn't come unattached from the caliper, just from a mounting point meant to keep the lines out of the way?
Carls Jr. FTW!

Hmmmm I think I have about 2300 on it. I absolutely love that car. I think I'm going to take some pictures of it today since I got the windows tinted.

The onyl problems I've had are warped rotors and suspension issues, sway bar end links, leaky struts, and steering column. Other than that at 50k its like new. Well yours is like new with 2300 miles.
That cool i bet it looks good with tinted windows in black. I tinted mine myself the first week i had it but i wasn't happy with the look on the red car. It made it look like a foreigner's car! I always tint my windows though looks great on black or white I think.
