Ok, well I got a lemon.........Thats my fault for buying one of the first 25 TC balts off the line. I am currently waiting on my 3rd ECM.......Has had 4 new EVAP cannisters and control modules installed......one new fuse box...... That pesky little sunroof button!!! And my cruise control still wont work after 2 months now(probably due to the ECM)........I have had the worst luck with a TC.........

I am currently talking to GM corporate and Chevrolet customer service about my problems and hopefully they willt take care of me....... I seriously doubt they will just give me a new car ( I have never heard that ever happening other than lawsuits with lemon laws), I wonder what they will do.......


Anyone have an idea of what GM could do to fix this problem, or what they wont do? Should I go ahead and get a lawyer....HELP!!!

 

First, check the Lemon laws in your state... you can do this on-line or in person... Next.... GM is in to much of a nose dive to help themselves so there's no shot that they'll help anyone customer related at this point in time....

Did you keep getting CEL on ? and what was the root cause for the EVAP canisters, the code and the name\description of the code? IE: Purge flow or what?

Lastly, what mods have you done under the hood? bolt-ons? for the approximate 15-21 whp gain over a typical stock SS\TC.

Well this is tough.......I am here in Georgia, bought the car here. I am moving Kentucky Because the Army restationed me there. I know GM will bounce back, its just a matter of time for that.

The root cause (they think) was due to the faulty ECM..... Before they said I was putting too much gas in the car.....LOL I fill it till it stops, I don't put any more in. Not sure what the codes where.........Onstar Diagnostics indicated that I had problems with cruise control and the Emissions system. My stearlership is stumped on this. They have been on the phone with GM's tech guys about this and they are even stumped. Last I heard was that The tech guys where sending a Brand new ECM that they tested first.

Mods under the hood......K&N drop in fiter (yeah, maybe 3hp).... Water/meth injection...... I only used maybe a 1/4 gallon of the stuff. Installed it and was workig fine. Shop foreman at Stealership saw that codes where reading increased boost and my #3 cylinder had a mis fire. He said though, that if I went and took it off imediatly that he would not report me. I went home right away and removed it. 2 days later I went back and they ran a diagnostic 3 times in one day and my car was not putting any codes out at all. He says that as long as I did not tune it that it would not cause the ECM any trouble.

Now I'm not sure if I mentioned this in the first post but my car blew a Evap canister 1 WEEK!!! after I drove it off the lot. I had nothing done to the car but window tint. 3 Weeks Later I was in Michigan and they had to install a whole new fuse box (the one under the hood)....again, I had nothing done to it but window tint and it had maybe 2 grand on the odometer.


It would be nice to see what GM plans to so about this......If they can't keep their customers happy, how would they make it even after a bail out?

Hell, fix my **** and atleast extend my warranty, I would be very very happy with that. ****, fix my stuff and give me free oil changes untill my warranty runs out.....Even hook me up with that (supposed) stage kit that comes out next spring.......I jabbing now.... But seriously........what the hell is wrong with my car.
