Wtf, headlights not working..

So this morning my headlights were working fine, but this afternoon on my way home from work I noticed in my cars reflection that only my fog lights were on - even though it was at least somewhat dark out.

So I assumed that maybe the auto-light sensor was being extra picky today and just went and tested it again. Still not working, no matter if I try to turn them on manually or let the auto-light turn them on.

The brights work fine, and so does the 'unlock' button flashing. After reading around I'm guessing it's something to do with this wiring harness deal.. but you'd think GM would be able to fix that for an 07..

Yeah, something in the low beam circut. The car flashes the high-beams when unlocking, so you either had both bulbs burn out, which is highly unlikely, or you have a wiring/fuse problem. Time to make a trip to the dealer!! Enjoy.

With just barely over 3000 miles and 2 months on the car, the damned dealer can check the fuses.
At the very least they need to be documenting every time they work on these cars so they can realize if something's wrong.
IMO, something like headlights going out is a very, very big deal.

Probably a fuse. There are extras in the fuse box so check out the fuses before taking it to the dealer.

Don't feel bad i once had a fuse blow on my camaro and i lost all exterior/interior lighting.......at 11 at night!

I'd definately check the fuse box under the hood first... may be an easy fix.

Eh, maybe. But at the same time, I don't want to have to change a headlight fuse every time I get an oil change.. or have the damn things go out when I actually may really need them... or this be the begining of a larger electical issue.
I've got to take it anyhow to get a couple other things I've been meaning to get checked, occassional distortion in passenger door speaker, tiny paint chips on hood, and I think I've got a slight alignment issue.

Just kinda bugs me, as I do like the car, but the 01 Coug I had before had NO problems until it hit 100,000 miles and began to systematically **** the bed.

So I dropped the bitch of Saturday - supposedly a relay that connects the two headlamp fuses in the fuse box (I have no f*ing clue..) was bad, so they are replacing the entire fuse box, which is on backorder...

The good news at least is that 1) my loaner is an 07 Impala LT, which ain't bad 2) My momo pedals and door sill plates came in - hopefully the part'll be in so I can put them in this weekend 3) The thing is doing a real fine job of accuring time in the shop, should I have to lemon this bitch down the road.

I just hope like hell this is an isolated incident.
