wtf...headlights quit working

So yeah, my main headlights dont work anymore...? my brights and fogs work, i checked the fuses and some of the wiring in the lamp housing and everything looks ok. i have a hanes manual that gives me a better wiring diagram of it if i need to go into it further, but has this happened to anyone else? its an 05 SSSC....

check your bulbs, if ok check the wiring diagram on your manual

look for areas L & R have in common (splices, grounds)

if you have a volt meter, try verifing that power is coming out of the headlight dimmer switch on low beam circuit

You say that with confidents,
Do you actually know they are ok on high or are you assuming,I would swap them out to make sure with one you know works..
Check if you have 12vdc at the fuses for the high beams when they are turned on,if yes it is the bulbs ,if there is no voltage then I would look at the relay.

I have a similar problem - I have no high beams. Only sometimes. I'm 99.9% sure it's a relay issue, I just have to take the time to dig in and fix it.

Check your bulb they could be burned, or grab a multimeter and test the power and ground for them without power and ground it wont seem to work check a wiring diagram to see which wires to test, and if your ever chaning bulbs always replace in a set.

Thats because you didn't give enough gas and bogged the engine RPM down, which slowed the alternator and it couldn't produce the power so the lights dimmed.
OP the low beam filament burnt out, just get new bulbs.

Should be fine, its not like you revved the crap outta it and slipped it. But its not the greatest way of taking off, you should do it smoothly so the car doesn't shake but not to high a RPM where you start to slip the clutch.

You havent gone and bought new bulbs yet? Come on man it wil be like $50 for 2 and they take less than 5 mins to change.
