WTF is wrong with this thing

well i bought my 06 cobalt ss sc about 3 months ago against my better judgement over a white evo. well tonight i my friend just got his evo out of the shop and we raced a few times and decided to switch for a little bit because i wanted to see what the turbo felt like and he wanted to see what the supercharger felt like. we werent racing and he shifted from 1st at 20 mph into 2nd and the car just died. engine cranks, lights work, everything works, but the car will not start. i really dont wanna take it to the dealer if i can fix this myself. anyone on here know whats up with my car. any help would be appreciated.

i let t sit for bout 2 hours waiting for triple aaa and taking **** apart checking every fuse and relay in the car. car still never started but hopefully when i get to it today itll start. im on ft knox and its at my friends house 30 minutes away, if it dosent start today when i get there and i cant fix it then im selling it. i should have know not to buy an american built car. this problem and it ran shitty for a while after i got my stage 2 installed are the only problems i have. i do a tune up every 5000 miles and change the oil every 2000 miles. i baby it and very rarely race it and shift before 3k so for it to do this just shows gm's quality.

you can glaze the clutch shifting below 3k, alot of people have had the problem of it hitting limp mode and pretty much shutting down...its some built in protection thing that happens

That happened to me last night. I just about ran out first and slammed into 2nd and i felt it connect in 2nd then the car just died. But as i was rolling i popped it into neutral and it started right up with no problem. And i haven't had a problem yet, No CEL or anything.

there are tons of threads on here where most people let it sit for a few mins, or disconnect the battery for a few and then it firing right up

it has nothing to do with being an american built car let me guess, if you had an import NOTHING would ever go wrong with it, right?

did you get the car new or used?

well i tried to start it and it wouldnt start, so i replaced the spark plugs and got to playing around with tracing some wires out of curiosity and found a plug unplugged, couldnt see it in the dark lol. and no i wasnt bashing american cars and no im not an imports are the best things in the world. but it seems every import ive owned has been better car for quality. but i do love american cars and imported cars also, they both have their advantages and disadvantages. so dont take it the wrong way.

but now i have a new problem. in 2nd gear when i get to about 3500 rpms and until 5500 rpms it makes a wierd screaching noise i dont know if it does it after that the supercharger is to loud . anyone have any ideas on that.
