hey everyone, been gone from this site for a long while (a few years i think?.... lol) but now that im closer to actually getting a car i thought it was time to get a few inputs. ok, so im getting ready to buy my first car, which at this moment seems like it will most likely be an 06 SS SC not too far from my city, but i realize theres more to owning a car than just buying it and doing the weekly gas runs and what not. first thing id like to know is.... whats regular maintainace like? anything special? im going to school for mechanics classes so i dont think the basic up keep should be too hard to do myself, but from people who own the car, whats it like for you? anything i should lookout for? thanks in advance for any inputs!

 

full synthetic oil changes, 93 octane gas. i love my cobalt, no big issues. just take care of it and stay off rev limiter lol

 

cobalts are like hondas with factory forced induction. they are very reliable so long as you do proper maintenance and know how to drive it.
