Yet Another Intermittent Surging on Acceleration

2006 cobalt ss/sc

Best way to explain it is...

Feels like the car gets hit with a big gust of wind every second or two only in the first and second gears during acceleration then goes away. It feels like im hoping on the gas in first and second.

I wanna say its a vacuum line but i dont know where to check and I dont think i hear any whistling.

100% stock no CEL. Going to do a 40k tune up this weekend.

See if it dosent fix the problem. No idea what it could be going to check for vacuum leaks also.

Probably TB grime or something. Only happens at part throttle, right?

it happens during first and second gear shifting like go into first accel and it feels like gust of wind hits on and off.

kind of like hopping on and off the Accelerator Like depress then let off depress then let off. then get up to speed then shift into 2nd then its gone.

Weird i know lol But if i take it slow and gramma it then it dosent do it.

That air filter looks horrid. Also, just an FYI - unplugging your battery doesn't do anything useful except clearing your radio settings.

5 visits back to the Dealer for the SAME issue you are having on my 2009 Turbo SS, that's right, 2009.
Submitted paperwork to declare it a Lemon since 2 different dealers couldn't find a problem with this INTERMITTENT situation!
Of course when the GM management guy shows up from far away to drive the car for a day, the car acts perfect.
This all started right after break-in at 500 miles, and still randomly just happens for part of a day, then goes away, even after approaching 10,000 miles now.
Of course our dealers down here act like they never seen nor heard of this problem.
That's probably for real because I've yet to see another 2009 Colbalt SS in our community of 75,000 people.
If you get an answer, I'd love to hear about it?
Thanks and Good Luck.

Mine surges slightly when cold and I have the bouncing idle but I have a TPS CEL. Drive fine when warmed up. I should probably do a tune up myself.

Mine does this too. Usually in 2nd & or 3rd/4th gear.

New set of plugs always clears it up.
