Great rotors
What style rotors did you go with?
So brembo doesnt make our oem pads? ferrodo does?
How many miles were you at when you needed brakes?

Thanks for the help

Yes, Ferrodo makes the pad for Brembo who in turn markets and sells them under their branding. I went with the slotted rotors as a matter of personal preferance.

I didnt need the brakes. In fact I still had a little less than half a pad on the fronts. The rears had been replaced under warranty at 14k. I really wanted to get rotors and that meant new pads too. The fronts had 16k on them.

I dont regret it one bit

Are the stock rear pads Ferrodo? If not do they make rear pads for SS/TC?

I just really love my Ferrodo fronts and they way they have performed thus far, finding that my rears are lacking (dragging, scraping, bad grooving) tried to get it warrantied but the brake guy at my dealership said they wouldn't do it.

You couldn't continue to use the pads with new rotors? or did you just want to do it all at the same time?

You can use old pads with new rotors but its highly recommended to change new pads when changing rotors. There is a chance that the pads have been scored or warped, this might cause a transfer on to the new rotors and shorten the life span of the rotors.

ugh, I am thinking about upgrading these to these when I need brakes, I love the look of drilled, but everything I am reading about them cracking is scaring me, I may end up having to go with slotted, as I can be hard on my brakes at times, and I just couldn't bring my self to sacrifice durability for looks in this kind of situation.

There will always be the chance of having stress cracks but its not common. Here at R1, we do drill with smaller diameter drills and counter sink each hole to lessen the chances of stress cracks. Premium rotors are also made with stronger iron cast grade. You can also go with dimple and slotted...

Thanks

Shouldn't be an issue unless you are tracking it every weekend...I've had the cross drilled rotors on for about 4 months without the slightest problem or concern...
