Leaking water!!??

Anyone else have a 2007 Cobalt SS S/C that is leaking water anytime it rains or go through the carwash in the rear driver side window? noticed this everytime now and is draining into the trunk and under the back seat. Taking it to the GM garadge tomorrow.

I have the same problem. I have water leak from rear passenger front and back. It can be compared to a flood coming in.

Yeah I have it too but I think it has to do with my sunroof and unfortunately I'm not under warranty anymore. I have to repair the frame on the sunroof anyway so I'll dig in and find out why this is happening.

Hey OP, I had the same thing happening to me. I took it to the dealer and apparently, they didn't seal the window from the factory. The dealership sealed it under warranty and its been fine ever since.

this is an old post but same thing happened to me and it ended up being the drain tubes from the sunroof were clogged at the bottom so the water would overflow and run into the trunk and backseat. How i fixed this was took a air hose and sprayed the junk out of the sunroof drain tube from the trunk. It was really easy to get to its back along the far side of the trunk close to the tail light. All you do is pull the drain tube apart from the other section that leads to the bottom, spray it out with the air hose, then slide the drain tube back into the other one. Theres drains on each side, i took mine to the dealer and they only said there was one but there is 2. The other one is almost behind the stock subwoofer if you have the subwoofer. Once you blow all the stuff out of the drains with a air hose you should be good to go. I steam cleaned everything and sprayed everything down with bacteria killer stuff. Hope this helps other people who have this problem.

Similar Issue

I have a 2006 SS non SC with a similar issue. My back seat is drenched. It drips in from the rear driver side near the small quarter window and also from where the two plasic pieces meet below that window. I hope its the sun roof drain. If not, does anyone know part numbers for seals for the rear window, quarter window, and that little piece under the plastic that runs the length of the roof?

I had the same issue in my 06 SS/NA. i opened the sunroof and took a metal coat hangar and stuck it into the drains in the corners of the sunroof opening. i got a big bug out of the pass side front drain, it fixed the problem

I have a leaking problem now that leaves my driver side floor soaked. Heavy rain days I have like an inch of water splashing around. Water also gets in that pocket area where the trunk release button is.

FIX THIS PROBLEM ASAP! ! !
I never realized this was actually happening until i found mold growing out of my drivers' side back seat. I thought i must have spilled something until I took out my back seats and there was a puddle of water underneath the seat on the floor frame.
I took the hose to the top and traced the water coming from the roof to the back window behind the vinyl siding and underneath my back seat.
Now knowing its the sunroof im gonna get the seal replaced asap and am taking my seats to an upholstery guy to see what he can do.
Mold is not nice ... ESPECIALLY in a beautiful SS

a) Zombie thread.

b) Drains gets plugged. It happens over time. Be aware of it, and take care of it. If your car has been wet enough to MOLD, you really should have been able to smell the dampness by now. You don't need to replace your seal yet. Clean out the drains and see if that fixes it.
