2 Questions about using a clay bar kit.

I going to clay bar my car this weekend and wanted to know...

1. After i finish clay barring a part and rinse it off do i need to use the wax that come with the kit or can i just use one of those spray on waxes when the car is wet?

2.Is it safe to clay bar painted/chrome rims?

Thanks

wash the car after the wax to remove the residue...then use whatever wax u want, however spray wax is teh loss.

if ur rims are chrome u can clay them, if they were painted with duplicolor....prepare for a repaint

answer to 1. use any wax that you like.....clay, polish, wax, seal

answer to 2. you can clay bar painted rims, but I would never use that clay on my car again due to contaminants.....it's really overkill, cuz wheels are gonna get messed up, clean them as best you can one time and throw a coat or 2 of wax to make them easier to clean the next time

actually the best thing to clean color painted wheels (not sure about our clear coated aluminum) with is a rag sprayed with WD40, I use it on my bike and it not only cleans everything off, but it makes them a lot easier to keep clean.

Ya I'm using the Mothers® Clay Bar System

I have never wax my car before, because i got this spray thing the dealership put on my car and they said i don't need to ever wax my car? Does this mean something bad would happen to the paint if it do?
