I picked up a PC7424xp in April and within a couple weeks took my first crack at a prewax/wax job using TurboWax. Once you get a feel for how much product to use and the general gist of using the buffer (see Stu'd stickied thread for videos on autogeek.net to using it) it is a breeze. I have yet to attempt a swirl removal on it but the buffer itself is super simple to use if you take your time the first couple rounds with it.

If you're really uncomfortable about it, try picking up a door from a scrapyard that has paint (not rusted to hell), wash it/claybar it so you don't ruin your buffing pads and practice on that .

In case someone doesn't ask, is there less of a need to pre-wax the vehicle first with the polycharged formula, or is this kit entirely geared towards paint correction hence pre-wax not being part of the package deal?

I thought I'd ask in the event people don't know the pre-wax step is there today to clean/prepare the surface to accept the final wax application.

That's a Great Question!

Usually the pre-wax is applied by hand, and the particles removed through this process is accomplished through the buffing products we described
(the Medium Compound & Swirl Remover) so in essence it would be a step definitely not needed (at this time the Pre Wax) because there would be nothing for it to remove.

Those cases where there is no buffing that is the time for the pre-wax application and use.

We try to provide a simple BUT effective solution for our customers.

Hope this helps.

I don't see a clay bar in that kit and before you do anything of this nature you're going to want to clay your car first. I use all Tropi-care or now called Showroom FX products but if you just want to pick up a clay bar Meguiars is fine.

Showroom FX is top notch all of their products are great. If you are going to use the 7424 I'd start out with some Megs M205 or Menzerna Super Intensive Polish in a 2x2 section and see how that does. I'd start out with a Lake Country orange pad and go from there. You should be able to get most of your swirls out with that. If you need more than that you could use M105 but probably won't need it... Unless you're car is in bad shape you won't need anything more intense than M205 or Menzerna SIP. You can top it with whatever wax/sealant you want to use. I just ran out of Tropi-cares old wax and will be switching to their Crystal Black Creme for dark cars.

You can buy a buffer package with pads and everything from them if you want. I'm not sure if I can post a link to their site so just search Showroom FX in google if you're interested.

Check out Autogeek for some videos on how to work with the 7424 or you can probably search on youtube for some helpful videos. They will atleast get you going.

As a Turbowax customer, may I suggest the light cut compound instead of medium.I have used it successfully many times. And instead of yellow,I would include 2 orange pads.I think most paint correction people do will be fixed with the light and not need the medium compound.

Thank you for the feedback. I am aware that we are missing other products in this kit. Things like Car Shampoo, Oxidation Block, Microfiber Towels, Wheel Cleaner, Tire Gel, and the list goes on and on. We have to have a kit that will provide the results that we're after, but at the same time, be cost effective. Not only for us, but for our customers. And that is not an easy task.

Billy, thanks for your suggestion, we might just have to put a Light Cut kit together. But the above kit will cover a large range of defects and will also be useful for many customers.
