If it is a true GNX, beat this idiot up one side and down the other with a Louisville Slugger for being a complete dubass for letting a car like that rot away. I'd love to have one of those cars, that clown doesn't deserve it.

This is great! So far we can account for what 10 or 15 of the 547 GNX's GM built 20 years ago right here on our little web site.

Me thinks some people maaaaay be confussed as to what a GNX is.

Tell me about it. The interior is MINT. My g/fs mom keeps telling him to restore it. He plans on it just busy. She even told him to sell it to me. I wish...

His did have the gnX on it. Just for clarification. And the totaling a GN and a GNX were word of mouth from my g/fs mom.

Yeah I guess putting on black crosslace wheels, the fender vents, and reproduction bades automatically make them the true thing.

Wasn't implying it was you. I just find it hard to believe that an ultra ultra rare car is being spotted all over the place 20 years after it was built.

Look under the car at the rear end for the FACTORY LADDER bar thats a DEAD give-away!

I know, just thought I would clarify. As 80's cars are not my strong point.

Does it have the logo on the seats, the dash plaque, or the ASC Mclaren decal on the inside of the door?

Only remember the gnX on the grille. Wasn't even able to get inside. Just see through the windows. Only thing I remember from the interior was the turbo gauge.

Oh yah I love'em. Cutless used to be my favorite 80's car until I saw a GN at a local car show. Granted I was like 12. Went home and researched the GNs and GNXs. Fell in love.

GNX also had different gears in the rear (3.42's I believe) and different tuning. The ladder bar was there to keep the car from breaking its frame! Yes I saw several GN's with cracked frames thanks to gears and GNX tuning alone.

Great looking car! I'll have to post some pics of mine up tomorrow for that!

They are amazing cars. Neither the GN's or T-Types for 1984 or 85 were intercooled. Both were intercooled for 86 and 87. The 87's had the most HP with around 245hp... but what was amazing was that from the factory these monsters laid down over 355lbs of torque. With just a few modifications, this number crept closer to 500lbs.

BTW Everyone here should know that 2009 is the LAST year for the Buick 231 now known as the 3800 Series making it one of the longest running engine series of all time. The basic block design was first used by Buick in 1962 known as the Fireball and by 1978 the designers realized the strength potential of this design and began developing it for turbo applications.

Now for a pipe dream... sure be nice if Buick would run production for an extra year and revive the Turbo Buick. Can anyone say 2010 Grand National!

It's probably a fake ass knock off. Like I said if the guy had a bit of common sense, he would know that the car is worth big money and wouldn't be treating it like that. I wouldn't even let a GN go like that.

I hope so becuase those wheels look like something from the late 80s to early 90s.

Black torque thrust style wheels would really look nice on a GN though.
