Haha...go Oklahoma!! I'm pretty happy with the overall job. I still have minor swirling though that I'm not happy with. I'm going to try some different products and see where that gets me. For future information, apparently GM has started using a harder clear coat on all their cars...so it makes it tough to get defects out.

85rd is for darker colors, which i guess would work well with the burgandy. Colonite wax is really nice to use after the SIP too.....heres some pics of my truck.

thanks, detailing sucks ***** to do. But at least your car comes out looking good after. Also if you didn't before try a rotary buffer for when you get that SIP.

Yeah, I know a guy here in town that said he would teach me on the rotary. I would never try a rotary on my car unless I knew what I was doing haha. That could be bad. Are you a member on any detailing forums?

No sir, I just kind of picked some stuff up and gave it a go. Only thing I knew before hand was to not keep the rotary in the same place for a long time as it "burns" the clear. I found out about the products from word of mouth as well. Try it on other people's cars before your own if your worried haha.

Lol...that's always a good thing..that way if you screw up, not your problem haha. I'll have to give that a shot another time. I just got the PC, I should probably learn to use that a little better. It sucks that Menz is so expensive. $45 for a bottle is a little steep.

the finish it gives is worth every penny. Also one application literally lasts for MONTHS.

looks good for sure. but if the 7th pic down is a final result, you have some more compounding to do. good job though

Haha...no man. That was my attempt to show what I was working with. No compounding was done yet. Not perfect by any means, but I think as good as it can be with the products and skill level at the time. Products have moved up to Menz and skill has hopefully improved haha.
