Angry Gm screwed me

Ever sence winter has broken, I have noticed some "rusty" specks all over the back of my car. Including the SS emblem and the licence plate. I took it to gm and they pretty much told me to f' off. I have the extended warranty (not sure why I bought it) and the car was purchased brand spankin new may 31 07. At first they said it could be rail dust. then they decided on it being brake dust from the road adhering(sp) to my paint. Yes, it is in the paint. clay bar cant touch it. oh and the wonderfull dealer is rubbing the paint with a paper towel and his hand/fingers like he wants to put a hole in my car. I am so pissed right now

keep taking it to dealerships untill they accept you..one thing about retail is..a company always wants to please its customers so their customers return back to the store of purchase

It should be defined as covered in your warranty. Read it.

sorry, I dont have any pics. actually I dont enen have a camera right now. I just moved out of the rents house....

as far as the dealship goes, I will take it to others and tell them whats up. I am just worried because I have gone to other dealers to ask ramdom questions and they always send be back to this dealer (the one that screwed me). I guess this place is like the athority(sp) on gm vehicles in the area. O well. tomorrow is another day. has anybody else heard of something like this on there paint?

sounds like your dealer screwed you... And unless you go to Wally Edgar in Waterford Michigan thats what you get.. I called the Chevy rep for our area and according to GM Wally Edagr is the highest rated in the state... hence why i only buy from them...

I had this problem after the winter... we chalked it up to GMs crappy clearcoat, possible pin holes in the clear coat. Clay barred, paint cleanered and 3 step waxed it.. most are gone now

I hate to say it, but I doubt they'll even throw this in for you....

If it small specs, they can claim stone chips caused the rust... no longer their problem...

i doubt its brake dust... i work at a dealership... it usually is rail dust.. it sits on the paint for a while and melts into the clear.. then rusts..
You can't get it out.. you'll hafta repaint. I see this **** on brand new 08's

i've also used this wheel acid on it and it takes it off i know it sounds bad acid on paint but you spray it on and rinse it off instantly. Yeah i guess i don't know what i'm talkin about i only paint cars for a liveing

it's likely fallout...there's a chemical called "fall out remover" you can use on it. we used to use the stuff on brand new cars that were going through pdi. basically need to rinse the car down, spray it on the car using gloves, let it sit for about 10-15 min. then wash.
