Cool. This is the type of feedback I was hoping for. Why not? I mean, besides the fact that it likely doesn't perform as advertized.

ok well i'm in the navy and have never used that on our radar systems... so i know we don't it, also in addition to not using it on radar equiptment, we do not and cannot wax our aircraft (my type of aircraft are one of the few gloss paint schemes). So i know we don't use it that way.

the only way to find out if it really work would be to try it, but i'm not going to try it

Cool. I'll tell you, the only reason that I even considered it is because they say that you can just rinse the car instead of wash it. I drive to work and have to park my car in a dirt parking lot. I can wash my car and by the end of the day, it is COVERED in dirt. A car cover just grinds the dust into the paint. Just looking for a better solution.

There’s nothing wrong with trying new products, is all about choice and what customer service you get, I can honestly tell you that there’s many car care company’s that sell products and the products don’t deliver as they advertise, simple as that, today I was lucky to attend a manufactor’s car care fair, I saw lots of interesting things,

Waterless car wash- Humm that caught my eye, so I sign for the demo, they had a representative doing the demo, again water-less car wash, the brand is a very well known brand, one that many people “claim” to be “so good” how did the demo start, 1 oz of car shampoo, 1 gallon of water ? What happen to my “water-less” demo? You guess it, two micro fiber towels, dipping in and out of the bucket that has WATER, when I ask the rep “why don’t you show me on the wheels, with all that brake dust”. His replay, for that we need water! Go figure

Second demo- water-less car wash, the car was absolutely CLEAN; we could have done what they did with our spray wax.

Another winner- now they have a “modified 5 gallon bucket” which all of you will see very soon for $125.00 the “idea” is to “clean” your pads, with water inside the bucket you spin the pad, with your machine, now the ONLY reason you need to take that much product residue is because the product is not a good product, and the list is endless.

Guys, educate yourself, don’t let some of this company fool you.

My friend used some of the waterless carwash stuff on his car(88 crx) and our other friend's(evo). It stripped the paint on the crx but shined the evo real nice.

So, while this is all fine and dandy, should I assume that the answer to my question is that, no, nobody has tried this?

Wait.. no don't PM him. It was a joke. lol

I'd just stick with regular claybar/polish/wax.. when done properly it can really prolong the finish of your car AND bring out the shine as well. If you want PM me and I can give you a few tips on washing/waxing.

I appreciate it, but getting a shine, etc is not my concern. Like I said, I have to park my car in a dirt parking lot and it gets FILTHY every day. I wash my car at least once a week every week and wax it at least 2x a month. The problem is that unless I like my car covered in dirt by Tuesday, I need to wash it every day, which I just do not have time for. I was not caring so much about the wax lasting me 5 years, it was the claim that you need only hose your car down to get it clean. Hell, I'd pay $100 if it lasted a year like that.

If it's just dust and not heavy dirt getting on your car, then use a California Car Duster. Takes the **** right off and will not scratch your paint. I live in a dusty ass town, so I end up using this thing at least once a day. I feel your pain man, I just wish **** would STAY clean.
