i know it's not a cobalt, but...
i do enjoy these forums, and had to show off my detailed Pontiac.
i've just recently (read: since i got my car) gotten myselfcompletely obsessed interested in the hobby of car detailing. it takes me quite a bit of time (5-8 hours, depending on how dirty a car is), but i think the results speak for themselves. i don't use any polishes, as they don't lend themselves towards paint protection so much as paint beautification (by means of abrasion, mind you), so i stick with good old elbow grease, high end wash soap, a nice clay bar and some carnauba wax. did i mention the elbow grease?
working my ass off (literally, i sweat off like ten pounds), i am able to get a reflection and a shine comparable to that of a polish, a paint surface that actually feels smoother than a polish, and a reflection that, while not perfect, looks stunning. you can see the color, and not just the reflection - which is something i prefer, though others are all about perfect reflections. anyway, i've been meaning to show you guys these - i've also been meaning to do a full detail (complete leather wash/condition, vacuuming, glass, etc - what i do to my car evey other week or so) on AJ's Cobalt for a while now - and you can have pictures of that when i get around to it.

thanks, everybody! here's an update - i just finished detailing the Pontiac again, the pictures before were a few weeks old.
thanks for all the comments - you guys should post up more pictures of your polished rides! my best friend has an arrival blue metallic SS/SC (the one in my sig). we trade cars quite often - it's a fun little car! and pretty, too.
too bad he doesn't always keep his so clean...

So jealous
Very nice ride man. I never understood why people hated on the GTO so much. Its such an amazing looking ride. Only wish they would have brought it to Canada though
