Keeping the interior safe from dog hair, dirt, etc?

Should I just scotchguard my seats? Get seat covers? (UGH SO TACKY)

Is there something else? A car-specific dog drool protectant?

My dog is my co-pilot, not letting the dog in isn't an option. I turned off the passenger air bag so he can sit up front with me. He wears a doggy seat belt, too.

Well I guess I COULD go find a Cobalt at a junkyard, cry over the poor dead Cobalt, and make off with its leather seats, but I would kind of rather just protect the ones I have... besides, dog claws could scratch leather.

Can't do that either... his seatbelt attaches to the seatbelt on the seat. I could put him in the back, but I would need to protect those seats just as much.

if your going to be keeping this car then i would say invest in some new seat skin...i went with katskin leather and it is a direct replacement for your cloth and i have not had any scratches from the dog or my kid...if u get good leather it will last ...not like the cheap factory **** they try to pass of as leather.

put down a blanket where he sits that way he will claw the blanket and not make a mess of your seats.

What size dog? I'd suggest this .

I have one similar, but not quite as fancy. There are usually zippers to fasten the harness through
