Need some help

Im extremely new to this stuff but have been reading the how-to's and everything but on removing my emblems.. just the Chevy one on the trunk.. didn't have this problem with the GM ones on the sides but anyway.. It looks as if the paint is faded. Dont really know if thats it or what but I wanted some opinions of people that have hopefully dealt with this before. and if there is anything that can be done to fix it or just put the logo back on. I used goo gone to remove the adhesive.. here is what it looks like.. Sorry the picture isn't that good but it was taken at night.. Will try to get another one taken tomorrow.

Clay bar when you're all done. Also, try Windex. You'll be surprised how many things that stuff can remove. But the clay bar should pick up most of that goop.

It doesnt look like goop.. its smooth to the touch. Thats why I was thinking it was the difference in paint.. I will give it a shot. Thanks
