removing spraypaint

well, since i'm an impatient idiot i decided to try and touch up a spot on my mesh grill while it was still on the car. the spray was a little wider than i had planned for, and got a little bit of paint on the bar in the middle of the grill. does anyone know what will get spraypaint off?

Get to claybarring bro.. or you can always wash it with a reducer.. I would try the clay bar first. GM painted my door and got red paint allover the car as a light hazing.. they said they washed with a reducer and nothing came off (they didnt believe me there was red on the car). So my bro and I claybarred it. You should have seen how red the clay bar was when we were done!

o man... that's why you always test the spray flow before you jsut spray! and never paint stuff that's still on the car, unless you have anything you don't want to get painted masked off.

depends how bad iti s, maybe a little paint thinner, but make sure you DON'T let it sit for long at all. get it on, wipe it off, clean, wax. anything that is going to get the spraypaint off will also eat away at your clearcoat and paint on the car, so you have to be really quick about it, and ONLY get it on the spraypaint.

Grill looks pretty sweet.. but thats a whole lotta spray paint you got on there! I would search the web a bit and see what you can find, however I'm thinking a reducer might be a good start...

the more i look at that picture, the more like an idiot i feel.

man, im retarded haha. i'll try the claybar idea first, cause the whole car needs it anyway and now i have an excuse. if that doesnt work i've got polishing compound, and if all else fails i'll try the paint thinner

Not rubbing compound, that would be bad. Polishing compound = good. The paint will rub off into the rag or wheel, and start to cake it up, so turn the rag often or rake the wheel.
