Tire Shine?

I spent a long time today washing the tire shine off the car that was supposed to be on the tires.

What brand do you guys use that stays on the tire better?

i use meguiars tire gel.it does work well but you need to wait about 15 minutes before you drive.

dude. just use a tire applicator and dont go crazy... especially in the sun. you put it on, but dont pour it on.. let sit 15 minutes and your golden.. the only time i ever have this issue..ever.. is if i am too lazy to wash car myself and the car wash puts the tire shine on and i leave without letting it dry..
be patient young butterfly : )

but for the record im a huge armor all guy.. they have been around forever, so they must be doing something right

yeah tire app is a pain and a bit more time consuming but it will be less mess and have more shine.

Do you wait a while before you drive?

I've used a variety of brands and they all do the job nicely.

Make sure the tire is clean as the stuff doesn't stick to the slightest bit of dirt. I generally do 2 coats per tire waiting 15-20 minutes between coats. As long as it's dry outside, it generally lasts a bit more than a week.

I like Armor All products the best.

I'll have to give that a try. Most of the other stuff I used washes completely away in the rain.

Eagle One tire gel. Much like some people in here, you have to use an applicator but it does one hell of a good job. Wait a bit of time before you drive and do not put too much on the tire. If you do, nothing will adhere to the tire more than the centrifugal force of your tire spinning and it'll be all over your car.

i just use the black magic tire shine spray and that seems to work and stick for awhile but as everyone else has been saying you need to let it sit for at least 15 mins

i use meguires spray, but i use an applicator sponge. Just make sure when you wash the car, you get a little degreaser and use a soft bristle brush and scrub the old stuff off, then apply a new coat, comes out much much better.
