Quick question- will the california water blade scratch the car or is it abrassive in any way?

I hate using the shammy cloth cause it takes foreverrrrrrr lol.

i have the blade and all it really does is give you a headstart with drying your car. you cant really get the entire car with the blade itsself. but they are nice and no problems with it yet on my black balt

yeah, i end up using a beach towel to finish, but it cuts 10 min of towel drying.

as long as the car is clean, and there is no grit or any foreign objects on the car, you should have no problems. but if there is any grit at all, you'll scratch it.

All it will take is one grain of sand to ruin your day and your cars finish. But, that is the case with anything you are using on your cars surface. I would personally stay away from it.

I use it all the time, it works GREAT for getting the big water drops off and leaves just enough water to finish w/ a cloth or shammy.

water blade will scratch your car... i dont care what some people tell u, eventually ur going ot miss a tiny spec of drirt and there goes ur paint job.

and the edges on tht....

i WOULD NEVER take that to my paint job... but to each his own.

ive hit grit before on my car with it.. i have hit some dirty patches afte doing a quick wash at the carwash and i do not have any marks in my paint.. idk what the hell you would be doing to do that.. u would have to push pretty hardcore to do it.. or soemthing a little bigger then a grain of sand.. if u have a decent size rock on your car.. avoid that

You also have a silver car. Having worked with a number of waterblades in different conditions (some up to 3 years old, some brand new), it is one of those products I would probably use without worry on any metallic colored vehicle and most lighter colors, but definately not on a black car.

My car's the next closest thing to black (Imperial Blue) and I have NO scratches whatsoever.

I've been using my waterblade on my Black Balt now for about 6 months washing it atleast 1X a week and my car is now Silver... j/k. I do use it though and dont have any scratches. Just make sure you spray the Blade with the hose before you use it.

Yeah, you've had your own personal waterblade 5 years. I'm talking about ones used commercially. As said above, if cleaning is done very well, its not an issue, but, one small mistake is very hard to hide on a black car, whereas, it is usually very easy to hide on a silver one (unless repainting is involved).

I have used mine on my black balt for over a year and had no issues at all. It won't dry the entire car like someone else said but it will definitely give you a head start.

For you guys that hand wash your car take off the spray nozzle and just let the water come out of the hose, start at the top and just let the water run off it will be almost dry when your done because you wont have a bunch of little bead of water. Yes the blade does work but it will only take one missed spot. Oh yes use microfiber towels too.
