FS Cobra (Garrentt) Heat Exchanger and Bwoody Brackets
FS Cobra (Garrentt) Heat Exchanger and Bwoody Brackets
SOLD
Up for sale is my Cobra HE and Bwoody brackets.
I recently caught a stone in the HE and it punchured a hole causing a leak. I removed the HE and patched it with Quick Steel. I hooked it back up to my car and it did not leak.
The patch is on the side with the input and output ports. So depending on how you hook it up you may not even see it from outside the car.
The price is $125 shipped in US. Sorry but if your from Canada its going to be more.

The Bwoody brackets make the install real easy. And I will offer my help to anyone who buys it.
I know what you might be thinking. "He just got a hole in his HE and now he is selling it".
Trust me you will not run into problems with the HE. I am know as the "Cobra HE install guy" on RLFs and I am not going any where any time soon.
Let me know if you are interested.

In HPT there is a setting that controls the IC pump and its default setting is 10. Do you know what that means?
Probably as least an extra $20. Dam imaginary lines...
lol. Well I want to get the pieces together to make it easy for buyers. Did you see my question about the IC pump?

The controls for the IC pump are set to 10 seconds. This means that once you start your car the pump is delayed for 10 seconds then it turns on. I set mine to 0 seconds so as soon as I start the car or turn the ignition to the start position the pump starts to circulate right away. This is good for race day. Some guys also do the fan mod so they can have the fans cooling the rad when the car is sitting or staging at the track.

The situation I can't explain is my IAT2 temps under slight acceleration. If I accelerate from 40-70 using 5-6 psi my IAT2 temps will climb very slowly from maybe 70 to 85 degrees. Which is what I would expect with my setup.
Then when I left off and coast to a stop my IAT2 usually start to rise to 95 or 100 degrees. It makes me think the pump not pumping when I am not accelerating.
Does that control turn off the pump in another situation?

hope that helps
It will fit but it will serve no purpose to your car unless you add a supercharger to it. The HE is designed to cool the Laminova cores in the intake manifold. If you car is stock it does not have those.
[QUOTE=Navarch;2211845]I sent you a PM.

Driving around today I noticed that my IAT2 temps were 20-25 degrees higher with out the Cobra HE installed! I never realized the difference it made.
Wow.
I just checked the Offical Classified Sellers Thread and two Cobra HE have recently sold for $120 and $103 shipped.

And that doesn't inlcude the $60 Bwoody Brackets.
Bump for the night crew.
